I had an amazing shoot this weekend!  I had the opportunity to photograph four year-old Lorelei at the Yocum Institute of the Arts.  Her mother had contacted me about photographing her in her ballet recital costume.  She had so much fun showing me ballet positions and performing for us!  Shoots like this bring me back to why I love kids so much.  They are so spontaneous and fearless!

I am shooting my first official wedding in 7 days!  I can't wait.  Megan is going to be such a beautiful bride!  I have been pretty busy with my pre-k/kindergarten classroom and haven't had much time for anything else.  I did do Krista's engagement photos and The Fegley's Family photos which are now posted on here!  I also took photographs of a first holy communion and a baseball game.  I love the spring, but can't wait until late summer and fall when I really start taking family photos!  I love my new Tamron lense and flash mount.  My husband bought me a huge bag for all my equipment for my birthday (May 10th).  I absolutely love it!

Happy Easter! 2010 has been very exciting so far!  We have a new addition to the family.  Emily is a three year old boxer rescue that we brought home in February.  She is fantastic!  You'll be seeing photographs of her shortly on the pets page.  I also have two weddings and a couple other shoots lined up already.  I am very excited to start photographing especially with this beautiful weather we are having! :)

Happy New Year!  Well...technically I'm late!  It's been 2010 for an entire day already :) So I was experimenting with my battery grip that my husband got me for Christmas.  It's even cooler than I thought!

I guess it's that time for New Years Resolutions.  I've decided to make goals instead of resolutions.

Some reflections on life

Do things that make YOU happy

Do what you love and love what you do...PASSIONATELY

Live Happy, Love Honestly, Live Fully

My Goals for 2010

Stop stressing...about....everything

Be more creative

Learn and study as much as possible in order to better my photography career

Live in the moment...if you know me, this is a hard one

Stop selling myself short

Appreciate the small things

I hope you can relate! Thank you for all your love and support!

:) Danielle

I have just realized that I've been writing the blog backward...oh well :)

Good News! My husband bought me the battery grip and an extra battery for my camera! I am so excited AND the man at Dans Camera let me test out the lense that I want.  My plan is to have that lense before the start of the 2010 photography "season".  I won't bore you with the details on the lense but it is BEAUTIFUL!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas!  We had a beautiful Christmas :)

Below is a photo of Briggs running and playing in the snow.  We had a big snowfall about a week ago that just melted yesterday.  She had so much fun!

"He Gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the week.  Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40: 29-31

Hello!  I am just starting this blog (November).  I am so excited for this weekend.  I have 5 shoots and than taking family photos at SpringRose's Harvest Festival.  I will be posting photos as I take and edit them this weekend!  I am booked for November and probably until the end of the year! It's about that time of the year to start wrapping up photo shoots since I only do outdoor shoots!

Keep checking back for updates! :)

November 22nd 5:40pm

Long but productive weekend!  I had four shoots yesterday.  I started with the Hamm Family who is such a cute little family with their puppy.  Their baby, Carter was such a doll baby with his little dimples.

Next I took photos of Stephanie and her four kids.  They started out quiet but had some GREAT ideas by the end of the shoot.

I went to Lexi's first birthday with Minnie and Mickey which was so fun.  Lexi didn't know what to make of her birthday cake but at the end she was trying to share it with everyone :) She was so cute!

Last was CJ's Skate Birthday photos.  Instead of presents the Civiello family was donating all the money to the Children's Alopecia Project.  CJ doesn't like cakes but had a donut "cake" instead...what a great idea!

I had fun at all the shoots but man was I tired! Stayed up until midnight editing photos!!  It is all worth it in the end to see the finished product!

Today I took photos with the Groh Family and  cute little McKenna who ate leaves! Such a beautiful Family...!

I ended my day with family photos at the SpringRose Harvest Festival.  Busy weekend but only a three day teaching week!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone :)

So I thought this weekend was going to be my last photo shoot weekend...guess I was wrong.  I have scheduled three shoots for next weekend in the last three hours!!!

I had two fun shoots this weekend:) My first shoot was with Wendy, Dave and Kaida which you can find under the families link.  Below is my favorite informal photo of the session.  We ended the shoot just as the snow started to lightly fall!

Below is my favorite photo from my winter wonderland session this morning with the Folk Family which you can find under the children link!  We had so much fun running threw the snow and took some beautiful candid photos! :)

This weather is terrible.  I just did my last shoot of the season yesterday and I am ready for a break for the winter.  I will be taking these couple months to learn more about photography and possibly exploring the opportunity for an indoor studio/office!  Check back for updates!
